Being creative is in my DNA. Dance, music, writing, design - I've spent my while life immersed in it. Creativity isn't just a hobby for me; it's who I am and it's no secret that I thrive in spaces where I get to create something epic from nothing but a small spark of "what if". Those moment when an idea clicks and comes to life? Those moment are my jam.
And that's exactly how I felt when I discovered podcasts.
It was almost 10 years ago when I got hooked on podcasts - not as a producer but as a regular listener trying to make it to 5pm at my corporate gig.
Tuning into my fav shows soaking up as much as I could about the world of entrepreneurship and building a business, and of course some Stuff You Should Know or Hamish and Andy for kicks and giggles.
Podcasts were my go-to (and let's face it, still are!) and I can hand on heart say that without those sneaky listens when I probably wasn't meant to be *sorry not sorry*, I wouldn't be where I am today.
Ya see, I didn't have anyone around me who knew the first thing about starting and running a business, about marketing, or had that entrepreneurial spirit that I did... none of that. So I turned to podcasts and the expert hosts who have been there and done that.
I saw the major potential in podcasts in the impact that they can have on people's lives. How they can provide that "spark' and be that support system when you might not actually have one.
I just KNEW that I had to be a part of that world, stat. Not to create my own show, but to hype up other hosts that are wanting to make a real impact in people's lives and let's face it, the world.
With my ear for audio, eye for design, and creative brain that can see the bigger picture and potential in literally EVERYTHING, podcasts became my outlet to help others share their stories, spread their messages, and impact their listeners' lives just like they did for me at the beginning of my journey.
Since then, the team has grown, I've hit publish on over 1,000 podcast episodes, launched countless podcasts, and formed close-knit relationships with our amazing clients through coaching, strategy, digital marketing, good ol' banter and even some other tasks not yet available to the public. We are their all-round crew to support them in more aspects then *just* their podcast.
Mumma to two energetic little dudes and hitched to a firey (that's firefighter for those non-Aussie's - we nickname EVERYTHING).
Wanna know my simple joys in life? Hot chips, comedies, Italian food, and hanging out with any combo of beers, mojitos, sunshine, buddies and beats. Specifically indi and ol' school RnB. Specifically Frank Ocean and from the 90's and 2000's (best decades, don’t fight me on it).
All about bringing the heat at Kollective Playground, is our head copywriter, content strategist, and oh-so-talented brand designer, Elley.
With nearly a decade of experience in the world of blogging, Instagram and podcasting, Elley is basically a walking library of knowledge. From growing multiple accounts on social media to landing sponsored content gigs, creating branding that stops the scroll to marketing your offers (and podcast!) so people actually want to buy and want to listen…
Elley is a no-BS wordsmith and brand designer who’s got you covered.
Host of the top-rated podcast, The Empowered CEO Show, Elley isn’t just talking the talk, she’s walking the walk (and has almost 200 episodes under her belt to prove it).
Elley understands what it takes to create show-stopping podcast episodes that grab your ideal listeners' attention, but also keep them hooked and wanting more!
But let’s not forget the visuals – she’s also a designer too.
Creating the most epic podcast cover art and promotional graphics (literally, wait ‘til you see yours!), Elley’s designs help take our client’s podcasts from dab to fab.
And yeah, we all know they say not to judge a book by its cover, but let’s be real for a sec – we know you do. Design matters. Humans are judgy creatures.
So if you want a top-rated, passion-fuelled podcast with epic graphics and words that do the work for you, Elley’s the gal to help make it happen.
Here at Kollective Playground we’re all about doing what we love in the world of podcasting, design and digital marketing, whilst helping you do the same.
Human connection comes first
We bring the human back to the client experience and everything that we do. It's all about authenticity and genuine care, baby! In a world of quick fixes, we like to go old school. This isn't a journey to go alone. We're in your corner ready to jump in and help out whenever you need us. Human centred communication and support isn't just our jam, it's a non-negotiable.
Attention to detail
We go above to dot your I's and cross your T's. Some call it obsession, we call it attention to detail. We don't take your commitment to work with us lightly. We make sure that you get bang for your buck and so that you have 110% trust in our reliability so that you aren't up till midnight proofreading and finding things to fix. You know that we do our thing, and we do it damn well.
Commitment
We're committed to you, your podcast, and everything that you want to achieve from the get-go. We're no stage 5 clingers, we just freakin' believe in you! And in return, we expect our clients to make a commitment to the longevity of their show (it's a long game), giving new things a go, and trusting in our advice and feedback. Together, we can do some pretty amazing things.
Quality over quantity
Our clients aren't just numbers to us or money makers. We work with a smaller number of clients at any one time so that everyone gets the attention that they need and deserve. This is why we're able to make a bigger impact and form a close working relationship with our clients (and even friendships) that last years and years. It's agency work with boutique vibes.
Good times and good vibes
Putting the "Playground" in Kollective Playground. A place where we have fun in doing the things that we love and are great at. There's no place here for meaningless work. This is where creativity, sustainability, growth, impact, happiness, and great quality work collide. We're happy and friendly people who only want the absolute best for you and to have fun while doing it.
We don't lean back on feedback
And maybe a *little* tough love. But in a nice way, obvs. Whether something is great or needs a little work, we let our clients know because we want the best for you and your show. Feedback is a two-way street and an opportunity to learn and improve. What's that saying? "Feedback is the breakfast of champions". We agree, as long as it comes with hashbrowns and caffeine.
